Oticon Intent 2 tap controls

Hello, new to ! I am in week four of my trial with the Intent 2, and so far I am impressed! I was trying to program the tap control for main function and streaming, but I cannot find a way to do that. The Companion app has a page (under Hearing Aids => Hearing aids settings => Tap control) that shows “NO ACTION” for main function and streaming, and a program (which I confirmed works) for using double taps for phone calls. I tried with both my Samsung phone and my Ipad, same result. I also asked my audiologist and she told me that she cannot see an option to program tap controls in her software. Has anyone been successful in doing this? Thank you!

I have the Oticon INTENT1 aids with my Samsung S25FE phone and the tap control works great for accepting and denying phone calls. It does not work to my understanding for pausing streaming say from audiobooks. The companion app should give you the option. If it isn’t then either it hasn’t been enabled in the setup software the audiologist has or perhaps the phone is not fully compatible with the aids. As far as the iPad is concerned it can stream to the aids but without the phone function the tap controls will not be enabled.

What phone do you have. The only thing I can think of is one your audiologist doesn’t know and understand the software and that means your audiologist can’t and has not fitted your aids properly or that your phone is capable of the tap to answer calls.

Thank you for your feedback, I think that the aids are fitted right. My phone is a Samsung S23 ultra, and the double tap works for phone calls. So my question is, has anyone been able to use double tap on a Samsung phone while streaming? And if so, how did you set that up? Thanks.

I have the Samsung S25FE and yes I have answered calls while streaming an audio book. I didn’t have to fo anything extra.

That’s what I was wondering. The app is misleading, it looks like there should be a way to use double tap for actions related to streaming, not just phone calls. Thanks!

quick question, ifrom the phone or the aids cannot do this by default, then why is that listed in the app settings at least for Iphone.
