Oticon Intent - Firmware 1.3.0

Is the update out yet or still pending? I was just at the audiologist this last Thursday and she supposedly checked them for updates (I didn’t ask, she just volunteered she had done so) and said there were none. Can updates be done at home or must the audiologist do it? My Oticon Intent 1 aids show 1.2.1 as their current program.
Update 11/07/25: The Oticon Intent firmware update seems to be available in England, judging by comments made by some British hearing aid users, but I still haven’t heard anything about it here in the USA. Does anyone here have it yet?

It has to be done on a computer — you’ll need to ask your audiologist. The update came out today with the newest version of the programming software (Genie 2 2025.2).

Yes finally, I have already upgrade to 1.3.0 but unfortunately the Oticon Companion is not yet upgradable on Android 16 so I have to wait until I can use .

Thanks for posting this. I still have 1.2.1 as well. I have a follow up in a couple of weeks, and this was a nice reminder to add “firmware update” to my list.

My INTENT1 aids are 1.1.1 and was updated by my clinic in August. But the VA seems to work differently. My audiologist scheduled me back in early November saying he was expecting either new aids and possibly firmware updates with the new contract going in affect the first of November.

The one reason I’d consider doing it myself. The new sphere ultra update is out, and if Nov wasn’t so close, I’d be telling audiology that I’m updating them.

Well on November 3rd I have an appointment and I an considering jump ship and going to Phonak Virtio R infinio or the Sphere aids. It all depends on my audiologist and the . I am on a list that has to have a working backup set of aids and my backup aids have battery issues. If My INTENT1 aids had to be sent in for repairs my Real1 aids will only hold a charge for about 3 hours, and my audiologist is wanting to send my INTENT1 aids in for new batteries and check out.

Has anyone done the firmware upgrade on Intent 1s as DIY? Any issues?
Update on my Intents went smooth and no issues.

No idea if either ultra or the firmware update for sphere will be available. I’m guessing it was too close a turn to get it on the contract.
