Oticon More 1 - Iphone 17 bluetooth issue

I am currently using the Oticon More 1 and Intent 1.

My phone is an Iphone 17promax running IOS 26.5

The problem is that the More 1 keeps losing its Bluetooth connection with Iphone

There were no issues with the Bluetooth connection between the More 1 and the Ipone prior to

IOS 26.3, but Bluetooth errors continue to occur on the More 1 across IOS 26.4, 26.4.1, 26.4.2, and even on IOS 26.5, which was newly released the day before yesterday.

The main symptoms are as follows:

When playing media (YouTube, Netflix, etc.) or making a call, no sound comes from the hearing aid for the first few seconds.

There is also no sound coming from the phone’s speaker.

Sound finally comes from the hearing aid only after about 10 seconds.

This symptom repeats several times a day.

The symptoms persist despite me reconnecting Bluetooth, resetting the network, reinstalling iOS, and even performing a DFU reset.

Also, I sent More 1 to Oticon for a full repair.

However, the problem remains unresolved.

The important thing is that Intent 1 works correctly throughout this entire process.

How can I resolve the issue with More 1?

(1) The firmware version of the More is 1.4.5.

Currently, the update button on the Oticon Genie2 is disabled.

(2) Yes, I have deleted the entire pairing history of the hearing aid, and

I even had the amplifier and receiver replaced at the headquarters.

I currently have two iPhones; it works well on the iPhone running iOS 26.3.

However, it does not work on the iPhone running iOS 26.5.

Separately, I also have an older Galaxy device, and it works well with the Galaxy.

I really don’t know if this is an iOS software issue or a problem with the Oticon More.

Apple and Oticon both claim that it is not their problem.

Others report similar problems. It sounds like you’re stuck until Apple or Oticon fix it with an update. Perhaps Apple altered the stack to some newer version which impacted legacy devices such as More which now needs an update. Some report Starkey had an issue too and an update to the hearing aid firmware fixed it.

I have exact same issue with Oticon More 2 and iPhone 17, problems started after updating my phone to iOS 26.4, before that it worked perfectly. Tried pretty much every available solution, nothing helped. Someone – Apple or Oticon should fix the problem on their end.

I have the same problem with mine I have iPhone 17pro there is 10 seconds delay when a call coming in I discovered if you leave background sounds on low it works but runs down hearing aids battery I’m running on iOS 26.6

There are literally dozens of threads relating to and iPhones since the latest iOS updates.

It is not you hearing aids. @luogangan has been tracking this issue, and has some very interesting results.

Again: It AINT your Oticons.

The Intent has updated bluetooth, and is much more stable, but until apple gets their heads out of their ass, and enables , good luck!

I have been in email contact with an Oticon agent for months and yesterday I finally got a fix. Install the beta version of iOS27 or wait till the stable release during the middle of September. I installed the beta and all my connectivity issues between my 17PM and Real 1’s are gone with a stable connection.

I've updated my iPhone 17 to iOS 27 and this FINALLY fixed this annoying issue with my Oticon Mores! I've used audio streaming to hearing aids extensively in the last three days and now it works as intended - I'm getting all sound notifications delivered, and no longer need to press Play button several times.
