I think it has to do with different perceptions by different individuals. It looks like you’re happy if the low frequency amplification is in line with the prescribed amplification. And so am I. But some other folks like even more low frequency amplification for music.

I think the issue may have more to do with the fact that I am not hearing the lower frequencies properly in the main program which is why I prefer the music setting for music. I will try the REM test and see what gives.

Well, I’m using the app for iPhone. I was just hoping to somehow improve my understanding when dealing with noisy environments while still keeping the noise level down (I have recruitment). Thanks for clearing that up.
