Hello, I’m a first-time user of aids with loss in both ears at higher frequencies (>2k)
I hear distortion noise / buzzing when streaming through Bluetooth, not so much pop or rock, but pure piano, guitar or melodic electronic ambient notes become truly awful, to the point where I refuse to use this aspect of the devices other than for phone calls! How many other users experience this please?
This has previously been raised by more than one user. Link to a good discussion involving persons with technical qualifications: Parasite sounds on Phonak Audeo bluetooth
Just to clarify, this fault is not encountered when listening to music though my hifi, in fact I have a dedicated program I select for that that turns-off all of the sophisticated stuff to simply restore my failing upper frequencies. I have tested and ruled-out connections to different Bluetooth sources, either Spotify or Qobuz, high or low quality streaming, fixed or adaptive bandwidth, a brand new M receiver so it is not a faulty unit.
My audiologist said we need to make our complaints known to the manufacturer to resolve what is merely a software coding fault in what is otherwise an expensive but accomplished pair of hearing aids. I hope a future firmware upgrade would fix this issue.
Thanks for reading . Rob
