I was fitted with nhs phonak bolero hearing aids last December. I have been using hearing aids of other brands for 15 years. The Bluetooth streaming is driving me crazy. The Bluetooth and mic mode is set to mute all background noise. When I’m out on site with work and take a photo, I have about 30 seconds of muting, so I can’t take part in the conversation. When I’m running or walking with a podcast I can’t hear traffic or other people coming up behind me. It’s not safe. I contacted audiology and they claim this can’t be adjusted. The phonak rep says I should just turn off all notifications and sounds on my phone, which is a half baked suggestion as I need notifications to notify me of things! When Bluetooth is engaged, in the phonak app I can briefly see the ‘Bluetooth and mic’ setting with a slider for background noise, but it disappears as Bluetooth disengages and I can’t otherwise get to the Bluetooth and mic setting. Any ideas?
