These are my first hearing aids, received from the . I was just fitted and notice very little change. So I did my own hearing test with good headphones and the PEACE Program.
The before and after hearing chart was almost identical meaning these hearing aids are not helping me in the 3k to 9k region, no change at all. I do hear much higher frequencies (above my tinnitus) better but this is actually somewhat annoying as they result in HF whistles and clicks.
I am concerned that the audiologist did not set these up properly. My base line hearing is pretty good for my age (72) but my HF loss is medium to severe after 4k.
What do you think? Is this a normal outcome or is the audiologist not setting things properly
