Dan, exactly a 675, and it seems to last a long time.
WhiteHat - oddly enough, I do not actually need new ones at this point. The Philips 9030 is still good but apparently maxed out in the fitting software. The ReSound is OK with the noted oddities.
Although I’m always looking to hear my wife better I was not actively looking for a new instrument - but they got me to come with the offer of trying a “new” ReSound rig. What they had to try was a low-powered receiver-in-the-ear that was barely louder than bare ears. Should have walked, but was willing to try Phonak + Roger in lieu of BICROS. I can understand her better but not sure if it is enough to stick with this Phonak or return it and see what comes along in the marketplace.
There is more to this decision than just what it sounds like to me. If my wife perceives me as being unwilling to spend the money to hear her better it will not be a good outcome. If it were a lot better, rather than ‘marginally better in some circumstances’ it would be a slam-dunk.
OK I’m babbling not and will stop. Thanks for the info and the timeline. Will post when decisions are made.
