Phonak naída L70 M help

Hi I been given a pair of phonak naída L70 M hearing aids from my NHS. Am still getting used to them but I have an issue with the Bluetooth. When listening to videos or music via Facebook or YouTube or the radio through an app, the noise/voices sound very robotic. Does anybody have a fix or do I need to go back to the audiology department? Thanks

I use Phonak Naida P90 anL90 UP hearing aids with Apple I-Phone 16 and HP Envy laptop. And the streaming of Apple music, audiobooks, and screen reader is very good. The laptop connection gives me a slightly better connection.
It seems to me that the Phonak classic Bluetooth works better than other brands like Resound or the Jabra from Costco.
The audiologist should be able to sort out your Phonak issue. Maybe the phone you use is not compatible?

I think it’s the . If they did an in situ measurement, they need to repeat it again to make an accurate audiogram because now you can hear sounds better that you couldn’t before. The sound should be better with the new audiogram. … I had something similar and it took me a while for the sound to get better. Don’t worry, just be patient.

You probably have high-frequency hearing loss that has gone untreated for a long time, so your brain has forgotten how to perceive and interpret high-frequency sounds. You have to be patient and practice to improve your ability to hear them. It may take a few weeks or even a few months, depending on how long your hearing loss went untreated.

If the robotic sounds only happens when streaming, this can be adjusted by your audiologist in the programming software.

In the meantime
If you have an Android , download an equalizer like poweramp and play with the different settings.

If you have an iPhone : the iPhone does not have a global equalizer but apps like Apple Music or Spotify have equalizers within the apps. The next release of IOS will include a global equalizer .

Easiest thing is to ask your provider to do the adjustments.

Hi thanks for all the advice, I have a iPhone 16pro and yes it does just happen when streaming. I will mention this at my next audiology appointment and ask them to tweak it. Thanks

Remember base sounds rely on a sealing effect. I assume you have domes, if they are open then base is difficult.
Adjustments can be made if they have the time.
You have been given an excellent pair of aids.
I have Phonak much older than you and streaming is good with moulds.
