Just ordered a Galaxy a57 which has 6. Had to replace my preferred Motorola Edge which would NOT connect to Phonak app. I too would have like a Pixel (10a for me) but because of Samsung introductory offers was working out to be over $300 more expensive. I am already over specifying the phone so too big a difference.
Well… I hope is true. My paradise aids are 5.5 years old now, and I think it is prudent to get auracast. I will probably get the new phonak Eons. Over the next 5 years or so auracast is likely to be very useful. Things are changing, probably for the better!
For me, not having is a show stopper. I've introduced Auracat at the museum where I volunteer. In addition to helping our visitors hear better, we hope to use our (very cheap) system to shame other venues in our area and the state.
If a hearing aid is expected to last five years and is expected to be a truth universally acknowledged by 2030 then the aids need to be Auracast Enabled today.
You might not think the tech matters now, but once it becomes part of your personal ecosystem, you'll realise the many benefits. From personal microphones to cheaper ways to connect to the gadgets you use everyday, to using public spaces, cinemas and theatres, it is going to be everywhere in a similar way to WiFi.
Believe it or not they didn't tell us anything about the upcoming launch at that event. We did have some staff at the virtual prelaunch event though. Karl's written something. You'll read it very soon
@PhilCreighton, while streaming from my Infinio Sphere isn't my priority, as in @cvkemp case, (in my situation - due to fact, that rehabilitation of my ear is more effective when streaming is only to its side), I really appreciate your efforts.
Another question - have you noticed that Cochlear also endlessly prolongs the moment when it will finally release a firmware upgrade, activating Bluetooth LEA and ? It's annoying, because current protocol - Bluetooth for Android isn't much reliable and it's range is very short.
Is it possible that after firmware upgrade, with Bluetooth LEA, sound processor users (like Nucleus 8) wil get better Bluetooth range?
