My audi charged me $120 per ear for taking the impressions and sending them off to Phonak. I did get new receivers built into the cShells. I adjusted the fit myself since I bought the Spheres online through Direct Hearing, and for doing so, my audi gave me the cold shoulder on fitting them (Direct Hearing would do it online). She did remove the original receivers and their wires and attach the new receivers with their cShells to my Spheres. It's easy with the right tool, and any who services Phonak should have that tool. That was almost two years ago, so my memory is a little foggy.
Sonova owns a chain of hearing aid clinics that used to be called Hearing Connect, but the name changed about a year ago to AudioNova. I went to one in London, Ontario, last year on vacation when I clogged the Cerustop filter in my left HA, and the service was great. I thought if I had any serious fitting problems in the future, I'd go to a local AudioNova clinic in San Antonio rather than dealing with my recalcitrant audi (at the time I got my Spheres, my insurance would not renew for two years, and at age 78, I didn't want to wait that long).
