Phonak Target factory reset and other musings

I have an old pair of paradise (paradices?), leds solid red in charger... Allegedly battery overtemperature (both instuments, really???). So I'm trying to lobotomize these to get the red light to go out.

They connect to the noah, but only when plugged into the charger. If you pull them out, the red light goes out and they disconnect. Almost like they are thumbing their nose at me, haha, you can't use me.

I do not see how in target to do a factory reset, or I would try to burn new firmware. You would think target would tell you why the red light is on, but it does not!

Factory Reset: Target -> Trials and Tools -> Reset /Stock mode.

As you said, they are old.
The paradise were released in 2020 (6 years ago). It is likely that the batteries have reached their EOL. They can only last a limited number of cycles, just like a car battery.

I would not reflash the units (firmware) because, if a power problem happens, you will damage the aids.

Based on what you said: Check the charger connections (dirt) and, if they clean, change the batteries. Rechargeable batteries don't last forever. Those batteries probably have >1500 cycles already (which is a lot).

Indicator light on hearing aid is solid red while hearing aid is in the charger:

(1) Dirty charging contacts

(2) Hearing aid is out of its operating Temperature range

(3) Faulty battery
