I have the Samsung S25fe connected to my Phonak Spheres and the Myphonak app and it is great. I also have the Oticon Intent1 aids withe the Oticon companion app and it is also great.

I am convinced the Sennheiser App prefers iPhone over Android. Uninstaller the app and the aids work real well. Just have not pulled the trigger on an iPhone.

The key is find the hearing aids that work the best for you in every way other that connectivity then get the phone that works best with the aids. But I understand that if you are still working then the job may dictate the phone you have to use. For 9 years I used iPhone which was the best for the aids that worked best for me. But I switched back to my favorite phones when android started working great with my aids.

What Samsung phone do you have? I’d say in general Samsung works well with Sonova (Phonak, Unitron and Sennheiser) hearing aids.

For 4 months the Sennheiser aids were great. Then came the app updates and that was that. Automatically going mute and changing settings on their own. Unpaired them and they work great.

Tough call. The app certainly isn’t necessary. If you want to use an app have you tried reinstalling it?
If so and there are still issues I’d try contacting Samsung and see what they say. Although your phone is still getting updates, it is getting a little dated. Seems like phone companies try harder with their newer phones. Plenty of people have complained about issues with hearing aid compatibility with iPhones too.

Agreed, unpair aids, forget aids, remove Sennheiser app, boot phone and reinstall Sennheiser app. This process just might fix up your Bluetooth issue.

You should discuss this with your audiologist since they know what works best. Your posts seem to indicate you’ve done a lot of work trying to figure this out on your own, but if so, you might be missing something. Example, people couldn’t understand me on my phone for months but I could hear them clearly. Finally I went to the audiologist who said this system is broken and sent it to the shop for repair. They work great now.

Thanks Steve. My audiologist is not real keen on sending them in. I am going to make an appointment and try again. I got some good ideas from this Forum and appreciate it.

When audiologist recommended Starkey aids for me, he asked what sort of phone I have. He said Starkey works much better with iPhone than Android. That was OK for me.

I have Phonak Lumities (basically same thing as Sennheiser) and an iPhone and the app sucks. I also have Oticon Opn and iPhone and the app works great.

My audiologist had no recommendations. I asked which is the best phone for RESOUND and the answer was basically that they don’t make recommendations about phones and that I should consult with the maker of the phones. I have an Android and found streaming drops. I just bought it. I like the Android over the IPHONE and understand many people do as well separate from having hearing aids. The phones are scrambling to optimize but what you own whether aids or phones never matches the hype and all those glossy photos that come with the item filled with smiling people not a care in the world. I think it is a crime to have to spend so much money and be sold products that don’t measure up or serve and on real recourse because basically they don’t have it all together yet. And my experience is the phones are sold by people have no knowledge about hearing aids and the hearing aid group I’m using refuses to discuss phones and refer me to speak to the phone company stating any streaming issues is not the aids. No help.

The audiologist probably just sells 1 brand (I think that’s all mine sells) so he should read most reviews or articles about that brand to stay informed for his clientele. It’s hard to imagine that you will have any luck calling your phone company about streaming to aids - but don’t take my word for it because I’m not in either industry, and for all I know your guy may be right that your streaming issues have nothing to do with the aids and everything to do with the phone.
