You’ll need to be very careful with a lot of these odd ball rebranded models, as in a lot case’s they are indeed locked.
You could just buy the Noahlink Wireless and try-out, buying the Noahlink is a good idea even if you don’t get the Horizion models, as you can always use the Noahlink on just about any other brands anyway.
Wanted to post a follow-up regarding Horizon hearing aids and programmability. I have a pair and they easily connected to Connexx software using a Noahlink Wireless. Programming is identical to a comparable SIgnia aid although it does show up as a Horizon aid in the software. Nothing else, that I can detect, is any different.
Adding another observation, while Hear.com4 has a Horizon app for phone use, on my Android phone, while a bit clumsy to connect, I successfully connected the Signia app to the Horizon ’s. This allows for additional phone app customization as the Signia Assistant is nonexistant on the Horizon/Hear.com app.
Title: Issues connecting Signia Horizon AX R hearing aids to Windows PC - Shows “Not Connected”
Post:
Hi everyone,
I am using the Horizon AX RIC R hearing aids (by Signia). They work perfectly with my phone for streaming music and calls. However, I’m having trouble using them with my Windows laptop/PC.
When I try to pair them via Bluetooth, Windows detects the hearing aids and they even show up as “Paired.” But when I try to connect them for audio, the status stays at “Not Connected.”
Is there a specific Bluetooth dongle or a setting I should use to fix this? I am looking for a budget-friendly solution as I cannot afford expensive proprietary accessories right now. Any help or workarounds would be greatly appreciated!
