Query about Widex Moment aids and my Android mobile phone

Hello, I’m seeking help with a problem I have when using my Android mobile (Motorola Moto G24) and Widex Moment aids. I have the Moment app on my phone and the bluetooth appears to work ok as I can alter the volume/mode etc using the app. The problem is when I make or receive a call on my mobile the audio does not come through to my aids. If I watch, say, a video on Youtube I can hear the audio ok. Also I can hear the ring tone/key press beep etc.. I’ve asked an assistant where I bought the phone but he couldn’t help and the local Widex rep/agent hasn’t come up with solution. .

Yeah that seems a bit strange, so have you checked in phone settings under Bluetooth for the switch for tuning on/off audio and calls.

Check in the Android Settings if there are 2 separate settings, one for the hearing aids to receieve media audio, e.g. YouTube, the other for the hearing aids to recieve audio from phone calls.

You may find the second setting is not turned on.

Tap on Bluetooth settings, you should get the option from there.

I asked the Microsoft Copilot about this - the core of the answer I got was “Yes — Android does include audio‑routing controls for hearing aids, but the exact options depend heavily on your Android version and the type of hearing aid”.

So what make and model is your Android phone?

Seems to be a problem in posting my reply so trying again. My phone is a Motorola mot g24 with Android 14

Open Settings, tap Bluetooth, find your hearing aids, tap the “gear wheel/cog” icon next to them,

You should see two settings - Call audio and Media audio

Turn Call audio on to have phone calls routed to your hearing aids.

These instructions for your phone come from Microsoft Copilot so I can’t 100% guarantee that they are correct.

I can see my aids under “Connected devices”. After tapping on the cog wheel I see “Device details” On this screen I see “Hearing device settings” tapping on this takes me to “Hearing devices” but there’s nothing showing about Call audio and Media audio.
