Questions about Phonak cShell and Marvel M90

Hello all,
I moved from the domes to the custom cshell on the M90s . They are the hard tan ones. I was wondering if anyone else has them and what your feelings are on them? They have the built in receivers so after switching them my audi did some adjustments. Since then I have not been to thrilled with the sound quality, I have an appointment to make some adjustments. The other thing that I can’t seem to figure out is the . If there is not one to replace change then how do they not become clogged with wax?

Having come from Bernafons with tulip domes to the M90s with cShells just last month, I can honestly say I’ve never heard better (with the exception of my long-gone natural hearing). I do have difficulty inserting them in the morning, and find if I get them in close, and then wait a bit, they will slip into their proper place easier.

My aids came with the Cerustop wax traps attached to the cShells and a small pack of replacements - which seem to have gone missing (hopefully temporarily). Right now I’m eyeing the dog. :frowning:

Thanks for the reply. My ear guy said that they don’t have a . However, we were able to put a wax guard in. Not the disk one for phonak but a one on the pick type.

When I got my M90s from the , the Audiologist said that the cShells don’t use a . Mine have a small silicone rubber tube extending inward maybe a quarter of an inch. I don’t have a problem with wax buildup, but I kind of wondered how you would go about removing wax from that tube without just pushing it into the receiver inside. My cShells have been surprisingly comfortable. If I don’t insert them far enough, they tend to fall out after a while.
