Usually, there is a legend on the same sheet for the symbols. Below is the one that came with mine.
< is : Bone conduction
O,X : Air conduction.
What is Air Conduction and Bone Conduction Audiometry? - Kahntact Medical6
Air Conduction and Bone Conduction audiometry is instrumental in identifying conduction and sensorineural hearing loss.

My Costco test had similar and per @OcramSagev I believe it is bone conduction.
My Costco test also had (uncomfortable loudness) on the , plus immittance, (pure tone testing), (speech reception threshold), (word recognition score) results.
All are interesting to research and presumably were used when the Costco fitter set up my hearing aids.

Those are symbols for unmasked bone conduction thresholds. The ones opening to the right are for the right ear, and the ones opening to the left are the left ear. Bone conduction is used to determine where a hearing loss is occurring. That your bone conduction thresholds and air conduction thresholds are roughly the same is consistent with sensorineural hearing loss, or a loss originating at or beyond the inner ear. Conversely, if your air conduction tone thresholds were worse than your bone conduction thresholds it would be consistent with a conductive hearing loss, or a loss originating in the ear canal or middle ear space.

My Costco test also had UCL (uncomfortable loudness) on the audiogram, plus immittance, PTA (pure tone testing), SRT (speech reception threshold), WRS (word recognition score) results.
Wow, great to make perfect fitting with …!

Wow, great to make perfect fitting with REM…!
Unfortunately it’s not always the case, no such thing as “perfect”

Okay, maybe I used too lofty words. Just shared satisfaction with having hearing tests done thoroughly, which are important for accurate hearing aid fitting, not the bare minimum, like “ only and go”.
Fitting based on is very useful procedure, after all.

Yes absolutely, it’s always a good start, it’s not offen they do everything, but Costco do seem to be putting more effort into things like this now.
