Receiver wire stuck in housing

I have Phonak hearing aids that are 1-1/2 years old

Audeo model with replacement batteries. The receiver wire is stuck in the housing cans looking for ways to get the wire out so I can replace it. I have a new receiver wire but it takes 3-4 weeks to get an appointment

For rechargeable versions of the Lumity there is a small pin that locks the receiver connectors in place. The pin is near where the wire enters the hearing aid body and is flush with side of the aid. Using a small tool or possibly a straightened paper clip, push the pin in slightly (from either side). This will unlock the receiver wire which can then be pulled out easily and the new wire connector inserted. I would guess the replaceable battery version is the same. I hope this is what you were asking.

Thank you…. I have the newest version and they no longer use a pin to hold it in place. The Audiologist has a hook type tool that grabs the receiver wire connector and that allows more leverage and a straight pull that doesn’t damage the shell

my fingers can’t grip the small part hard so I bought some small jewelry pliers. I will try to withdraw it. because I don’t want to pull the wire.

You can use a small thin tool to pry the connection loose. I would not suggest pulling on the wire as one of Phonak’s videos suggest. I managed to break two wires pretty quickly doing that. I use a tiny screwdriver to pry the connector loose.
