The most immediate difference I noticed (besides size) when switching from I90 to E90 was much much better wind noise suppression. I90 terrible wind noise reduction. E90 very little to no wind noise.

@RadioActive Many thanks for the info. For me wind noise is a problem but when it is I'm usually happy to turn off the hearing aids.

Wind noise with I90s must be a setup issue. I found my I90s out of the box are simply the best for wind noise (and contact noise for things like hoods or toques) that I've ever experienced. YMMV of course

Agreed here. I live in a very windy country and I have never experienced wind noise in my infinios or eons.

Just out of curiosity, I wore my Costco KS10s for today's bike ride. Not only they amplify the low-frequency sounds of the wind, the right one actually CREATED whistling noise.
So, I'm better off leaving them at home.
Tonight, I'll experiment at the Las Vegas Symphony. I'll bring my as usual, but pay attention to what the music sounds like when I don't have them in place.

Acoustic feedback from helmet? Perhaps more seal is necessary with earpiece. Do you have domes (what kind?) or earmold?

I have vented domes, but they're much more occlusive than those I used to have installed. For now, the obvious solution for me is just not to wear the while cycling. What impressed me yesterday (admittedly, a windy day) was that the HAs amplified the LOW frequency sounds of the wind bilaterally and accurately, but unnecessarily, whereas the high frequency ADDED noise came just from the R HA. I'm about to join a local cycling club that sponsors lots of group rides, and I suspect that the -enhanced new generation aids may help me a lot when chatting with fellow riders.
Then, last night, we went to the symphony. I experimented a bit, alternately putting them in and taking them out. I was surprised just HOW much more "color" was present in the piano soloist's performance of Beethoven's 5th "Emperor" concerto when I had them in place. I need to re-find a post from another forum member who's a musician and who mixes tracks for a living and is able to do so for frequencies his says he just SHOULD NOT be able to hear. But I know that I'll be sure NO to leave my HAs at home for future concerts!

One weird wind/noise thing I’ve noticed with my EON Sphere 90’s is when riding in the front passenger seat in my wife’s old Saab and she turns on the windscreen defroster, I can’t understand a word she says while the defroster is running. I don’t know if it’s because of the noise, or the wind it creates, or both. But when I pull out my phone and manually switch my ’s to Spheric speech in loud noise, it’s as if there is no defroster and she’s speaking in a quiet room directly to me. Amazing. Weird, but amazing.

It's probably all about mechanism of noise and mechanism of WindBlock 2.0.
WindBlock 2.0 works mainly when there is direct interaction between air movement and microphones. If windscreen defroster doesn't make wind right into your hearing aid, WindBlock 2.0 probably won't help so much.
There's two options then:

So, Eons WindBlock 2.0 may be quite useful.

Speech in car - for steady-stade noisenlike car engines, AC, fans, etc.
1) Her windscreen defroster blows like a blast furnace, so there’s a chance it’s blowing over my ’s.
2) I’m still in my initial fitting adjustment trial period and my Audi asked me not to have the sub programs user accessible right now because he said it messes up the data he uses to make adjustments. So i only have Automatic and Sphere in Noise to choose from at the moment. I’ll get access to those sub programs on my next visit and give Speech in car a try the next time I’m riding in the car with my wife and see if it works as well as Sphere did.

Okay, so my supposition was wrong.

That explains a lot. So, besides your right ideas, it's also possible that you need also to have WindBlock 2.0 strength slider checked and perhaps adjusted.

There are also another programs worth of testing:
