I’m genetically unable to be shortwinded, but I’ll try:
I’ve ordered a Noahlink V2, and this forum has sources for the SolusMax software which Beltone practitioners use to set their .
I’ve previously expressed strong reservations about my use of both of those, given how complex the manipulation of (and, of course, my total unfamiliarity with) the Solus SW has seemed as my previous practitioners have attempted to provide the metrics I require (seen elsewhere here). The Beltone office mentioned below has strongly cautioned me on the learning curve for this software…
So, despite my soon-to-arrive BlueTooth connectivity and my ability to download the software here, and my presumed ability to save my current programming within that program, I’m still nervous.
Various folk here have indicated that I REALLY needed to have to get meaningful results. But both my earlier FL franchisee and the GA franchisee don’t have it, on a cost basis, at any of their offices. And as I and they’ve, despite beating on it for what’s now almost 5 years, not achieved my metrics other than a very recent, limited, speech success, albeit at volumes much higher than I’d like (the same settings but at lower amplification, don’t have that level of clarity), I’m continuing my search:
So, a (sounds that way on the phone) very talented, also-a-user, audiologist at a Beltone office will start from scratch (saving the current SolusMax program in my Imagine 17s, the top-of-the-line HAs at the time I bought them, in case we find ourselves in the weeds), and we’ll again try via a (first time in this one) Beltone office, this one 90 minutes away.
BUT (and if I’m successful, I’ll report back here):
If I have to go the REM route, after all, is it possible to take whatever results from such a (separately paid, and, presumably, a practitioner who/which doesn’t use SolusMax) visit to a Beltone office for application to my HA program?
Aside from that question, I’m encouraged that there MIGHT be a solution in that I’ve had markedly better results, recently (100% speech recognition), in one of the segments of my HearMax app. Unfortunately, it’s at volume levels which are near the end of the scale, and are uncomfortably loud; reducing the sound level to tolerable levels has a concurrent reduction in recognition - “comfortable” listening level yields 60-75% recognition, e.g.
So:
REM results - portable to a non-REM equipped provider, with SolusMax2 software in my HAs??
