All,
Just went for my second fititing, 3 weeks in. So far the Jabra PRo 20 EP262 are great, but take that with a grain of salt because I’ve never worn anything else. These have the disposable size 13 battery.
At the time of fitting, the audiologist asked me a long list of questions, and made some adjustments. Increased the expansion from mild to moderate, and turned on the Sound Shaper to Moderate (3.5K) from Off. I didn’t like that. Everything sounded flat and muted.
So I went abhead and threw caution to the winds, and did my first ever tune up on the fly. Seems to be sucessful, but it raised a couple of questions.
First, the initializations screens. First screen:

I’m trying to get onboard with the language as it may be different than my understanding. Use session or Use Instrument are the 2 choices. I choose the instrument audiogram choice as it is resident in the . I was wondering, if I botch the whole thing and want to reinstall a known good copy of the initial programming with , would I choose the Use Session option and point to the known good version session, and save it to just hte HA?
Second Initialization Screen;

Reset to initial fit or Read Instrument Data are the choices. I used Read Instrument Data over Reset to Initial Fit because I wasn’t lined up on the profile that contained the Original REM Tuning. That brought up the question of is the initial fit with REM still onboard the hearing aids? They’re so small I didn’t think it would be able to do that. My fear would be if I chose that it might give an error because of version mismatch.
So, have you guys got any pointers on what I’m doing, and what I’m also not doing right? What would be the flow to revert back to the original settings with my original REM and adjustments saved in a stand alone profile?
Many thanks for all of the assistance.
