I am not sure why I am receiving these emails. I received the software several months ago and it is working well.

It’s because you started this thread. As the original poster in a thread, you get notified of any later postings unless you change that setting. It’s how the platform (Discourse) that this forum is hosted on works. Easy to change the setting anyway.

I got a lot of improvement with tweaking a little at a time but still not quite right. I just went to a new and she suggested ear molds which I will have in two weeks. She is also going to do which I had not had before. It is going to cost me $300 for the molds and another $125 to reprogram. That should get me to a me to a better basline and I can do tweaks if necessary

I too am in need of the Resound Smart Fit 2.0 software. I have had a NoahLink for years but I was just programming my Oticons. Now I find myself needing to backup my mother’s Philips aids but I don’t have the fitting software.
Could some kind soul please send me the link to download?
Thanks

Smart Fit says “Update required” for Resound Nexia — did the new firmware or Amplifon–GN changes break fitting?
I’m using Resound Smart Fit 2.2.209.5, which appears to be the latest available version. Until last week, I was able to connect and work with my Resound Nexia hearing aids without any issues.
However, after visiting my clinic today, Smart Fit now refuses to continue and shows this message when I connect Nexia:
“Fitting software update required. A newer version of the fitting software is available and required to continue fitting the instruments.”
I suspect my audiologist may have updated the firmware on my Nexia, and now the older Smart Fit version can no longer communicate with the updated devices. From what I’ve read, Nexia requires a newer Smart Fit build (2.3.x), but these versions don’t seem to be publicly released — only available through GN’s professional channels.
Adding to the confusion, Amplifon recently acquired GN Hearing, and I’m wondering if this transition is affecting software access for DIY users.
My questions:
Has the Nexia firmware update made older Smart Fit versions incompatible?
Is the newer Smart Fit (with Nexia support) now restricted to Amplifon/GN professional networks?
Has the acquisition changed how software updates are distributed?
Are DIY fitters going to lose access to new GN/Resound software versions?
Has anyone here successfully fitted Nexia after a recent firmware update?
Any insights from professionals or other DIY users would be greatly appreciated.

Nope all good, you say
However, after visiting my clinic today, Smart Fit now refuses to continue
Well there’s your answer, as a ’'r I wonder why you did this, I’d also point out that
Amplifon hasn’t acquired anything yet( it’s not even confirmed 100% it will happen) supposed to be at the end of the year some time. Go back to your clinic and ask them what’s happened? as yet your questions are unfounded.

Hi tenkan,
Thanks for the question — just to clarify, I didn’t visit the clinic for any programming or fitting changes. I only went in because I had a hardware‑related issue with my Nexia devices. I wasn’t expecting them to touch the programming at all.
It looks like during that visit, my audiologist may have updated the firmware on the hearing aids as part of their routine checks. After that, Smart Fit 2.2.209.5 stopped working for me, even though it was working perfectly fine just last week.
