found similar advice in my initial research regarding Developer mode and Audio sharing, though Audio sharing seems to be for something entirely different. The Audio sharing option says:
“Let people listen to your media along with you. Listeners need their own LE Audio headphones.”
So IMHO, advice to turn that on seems incorrect. I would maybe use this feature to share a flight movie with my hubby, right?
IDK
I found I could turn on my LE Audio setting by going to Settings >> Accessibility >>> Hearing devices. Yes, I had to “forget” my initial pairing they did at Costco for me, restart both my phone and my HA’s. Then find my way back here and toggle “LE Audio.”
Hi Ears2You2
I have been plugging at this for a while now. And I now know that The Rexton Reach as of now do NOT support . They do support (Auracast is a protocol under LE Audio). So Rexton stopped just short. ![]()
I did purchase a device called HomeSpot BA210 Bluetooth transmitter and their headphones, Homespot JM-320. With these on my TV I am able to connect it to my TV and folks in the house can listen at a reasonable volume and I can listen on the headphones (Your mileage may vary depending on your TV or connected audio).
Now I should be able to buy more headphones (any headphone or hearing aids that do actually support Auracast) and they could connect to the broadcast too.
But I do wish They would support auracast properly do that I can get audio from the Homespot transmitter directly into my ’s.
So to answer your question. If on your cell phone you transmit some audio anybody with Auracast headphones or speakers could listen in. You do have options to password protect that broadcast. My Homespot transmitter can send out a broadcast too. So you can use this for public address in airports or parties or churches or or or…
