Roger on v3 and Danalogic Ambio Smart

Now, Ive been given a Danalogic Ambio Smart by NHS. Wow, what a different comparison between Ambio and Ambio Smart. I was not happy with Ambio.

im on the right track with Ambio Smart. Next step - how would I make phonak roger on v3 more powerful. So far, Ive got multi mic and phonak reciever to connect with Roger on V3. However, I felt the roger on v3 is not that strong as in volume.

some says that Danalogic Ambio Smart 98 is not powerful enough to support phonak roger on v3 - is this true or myth?

Any suggestions?

Do I assume you are connected using a shoe and a receiver?
I’ve only read about On v3 but Phonak says it has easy gain which means you can adjust the volume.
Do a Google search for the instructions, I think you’ll find a video of it.

the way you ajust the volume is really fiddly on the roger 3. it took me a while to get it working and I do have Phonak aids.

Try this. turn the Roger and your aids off, then both back on again.

Then, hold the roger near one of your aids and hold the big button for a while until you see the “v” sign appear. then you can press the button to cycle through 2 db increments of volume. It must be near your hearing aid to enter this volume state with the “V”. once you have the desired volume, turn the roger off with the swich on theside to save it.

This might not work of course and if not I’m sorry about that, but it does definitely work this way with a Phonak aid so no harm in trying it with yours.

Another method which might work,in the Phonak app, there is a volume adjustment for the roger 3. Do the ambios have an app and can you adjust it that way?

Also note, the way in which Roger picks up voices can depend a lot on what setting you have it on. IN table top mode it will pick up in a very different way as opposed to when it’s hanging on someones shirt, so might be worth experimenting with.

That’s what I thought.
You need to buy two adapter shoes to use the receivers you have before you can connect any Roger equipment.
You can use the myroger mic app then to control your volume on the On v3.

The volume control is on the hearing aid app. For me it’s on the my Phonak app. Do your hearing aids have a seperate app? Also my audiologist can turn up Roger for me, it would be worht asking if yours can do that.

Sorry i misunderstood.
You could try to find the weakness by getting one shoe adapter and using the On directly to your aid.
