According to a Costco announcement last December, the Sennheisers were to be available in locations in Washington and Oregon and up and down limited stores on the east coast. I know in fact of 2 stores in Mass and 2 in Conn that are carrying them. According to the Costco announce ment, the # of stores would be 100 plus.

I’m trialing Costco Sennheiser for 2 wks at no charge. When setting them up, the tech disconnected (“forget this device”) from my phone & from the Easy Line app as these & my K10s use this same app. If I purchase these, I want to be able to use my K10s if I want to as they have the coil in them. Am I able to use this same app for both? I’m thinking she shouldn’t disconnected my K10s because I’m thinking either would have connected depending on which I take out of the charger. Can this be done? Otherwise I won’t purchase as I need the coil. Please help. Thank you.

Phonak publishes the Product Specs for their various models. In my research I pulled the ones for Lumity, Sennheiser and Costco KS10 then built a spreadsheet to cross-walk each tech or feature. For those that weren’t clear to me, I did some further research using to get explanations. You can see the result in the link attached, the footnotes have the AI explanations.

Sonova, the parent company of Phonak, is the manufacturer of both Phonak and Sennheiser . The common rumor is that after Costco decided to no longer sell the Kirkland Signature KS10 due to excessive returns (latest KS10 update seems to have fixed those issues now) then Sonova had a lot invested into what was to become the KS11’s. With Phonak’s not so favorable acceptance of the Kirkland Signature HAs, many of us believe that Sonova pitched Costco on bringing that technology in branded as Sennheiser Sonite R. Costco agreed to a trial and released the Sennheiser Sonite R in about 1000 of their locations. If you compare the pervious generation Phonak Lumity (Current is Sphere) you can line up the features and with two exceptions, the Lumity L90 lines up very well with Sennheiser Sonite R. Lumity has Phonak technology “Speech Sensor” and “SoundRecover2” that are more advanced than the Sennheiser version which replaces those two with “Speech Manager” and “HiFreq Protect+”. You can see for yourself in this table I built.

My MyPhonak app will only work with one set of hearing aids without going through the disconnect and reinstall process. I solved that in my case by using the Amplifon app which looks different but has essentially the same functions. It works with either my Lumity 90’s or my P90’s. By using the Phonak MyPhonak app for one set and the Amplifon app for the other I can use either without going through the removal and reinstallation process.

Brilliant idea, I was going to mention to possibly clone the App but this is a better way.

this is a better way.
I found the Amplifon App had way more options for the children’s Phonak Sky over the myPhonak Junior App. It had features the same as the standard myPhonak App, just laid out differently.

because these are K10s & Sennheisers, the app is the Easy Line app not the My Phonak app. I hadn’t heard of the Amplifon app. Is that something that works with all hearing aids? So if I use the Easy Line app for the K10s & the Ampifon app for the Sennheisers, that should work with making phone calls, etc. Is that right?

The only way to really know is to download the Amplifon app and see if it works with your K10 and/or Sennheiser aids.

Easy Line app for the K10s
For making phone calls no app is needed. The hearing aids need only paired to the mobilephone.
The app is just for changing settings (loudnes , program changes , program modificaton, muting hearing aids etc.)
You can use Easy Line app for contolling the K10s and the Sennheiser Smart Control app for controlling the Sennheiser Sonite R.

@Yosh They have been available in some stores for a few months. There has been a lot of speculation about when it will be available in the remaining stores.

I have a month left in my evaluation of the Philip’s 9050’s and am trying to figure out if it’s worth returning them to wait for the Sennheiser’s. It would be nice to compare them, but if the Sennheiser’s are going to be a long way off locally, I’d stick with the Philips.

Why don’t you give Rexton (Signia) or Jabra (Resound) a trial, could be what your looking for.

If what I’m reading is correct, the Sennies are based on the Phonak lumity platform which is 2 years old.
The Philips is much more advanced tech wise, and has too.
If you’re not happy with the 9050s follow @tenkan advice.
