I believe Roger and TV Connector use “Air Stream” which is more energy efficient than Classic Bluetooth.

Just ordered my first hearing aid, the Sonite Rise from Costco. My question is a little off topic. I’m also in the market for a new mobile phone and am looking at the Murena Fairphone 6. This is a de-googled phone. Has any one used the Easy Line app on this phone or other privacy phones, and what experiences have you had? Thanks

Murena Fairphone
As you mentioned, it’s de-googled. This means it doesn’t have a Google App Store, where you would typically download the Sennheiser app.
You may be able to find the apk on the internet and side load it .
Sennheiser uses Bluetooth classic, which has universal connectivity so you should be able to pair the aids via Bluetooth for streaming .

I’m guessing you’ll have better luck on the Murena Fairphone forum. It’s never been mentioned here that I know of. If you’re the venturesome type, try it and report back. If not, I’d stick with a recent IPhone, Samsung or Google phone.

Are you able to flash APK files to it? Otherwise how will you get the app to install, not really sure just by a quick “Google” review these are any better than any other so called “privacy protection device” I don’t think there’s any such thing in the interwebs or in communication that can possibly do this, a bit like “brave browser”

I haven’t bought the phone yet, and just ordered , so no test runs at this point. Basically, I’m flying blind. I’ll try the Murena board as suggested. Thanks all.

You might try ebay or marketplace for a like new used Google, pixel or iPhone. Staying with better name brand phones might save you some headaches.

Just received the Rise. Easy install, had to use feedback control prior to fitting due to open domes I insist on. Costco installer not happy with that. Volume level seemed ok, yet walking out to car, noises seem amplified. Adjusted volume down 2 clicks. Went to a noisy restaurant and Automatic Premium didn’t change much. Manually switched to Restaurant, not much overall change although I sensed rear mics were off. I realized the room was large with 3 large tables and several smaller ones. The noise was 92-95 on my iPhone’s sound app. I realized the restaurant mode couldn’t work because of so much reflected sound! Only disappointment so far is Rise does not work with triple clicks!

The domes or molds are calculated by your hearing loss. Not following this part of the prescription can defeat the purpose of the aids.
Could you share your with us?

Appropriate gain is also affected.
Are you 100% sure it’s occlusion? Patients sometimes mistake occlusion for a muffled sensation that comes from insufficient low frequency gain though the hearing aids, or for a boomy effect on their own voice that is actually the gain itself rather than the physical fit. If you don’t get any booming or crunching with the hearings aids in your ears and turned off, it’s not occlusion.

Don’t believe it’s a gain issue, plenty of power! The low frequency effect I’ve never bothered with. No way hearing aide speakers reproduce those frequencies effectively.

Sorry which frequency response are you referring to? Any could “reproduce” your loss with the correct acoustics.

Have you tried experimenting wearing one aid at a time? Then switch to only the other. Is this issue in one or both ears?

You can go below, of course it’s not the same as headphones, your restricted to a tiny receiver! But this is for music only right, so you could try active vent? you could also do better with custom moulds with the correct sized vent.
