I just returned my first set of Starkey Omega 2000 hearing aids after 2 weeks of use. I am a semi-retired professional guitarist with over 60 years of experience, and have a close to 40% loss in the high frequency range. Obviously this due to the nature of my work and experience. I have tinnitus, mostly left ear, and am seeking relief as well as gaining back some of the hearing loss. I also have Parkinson’s, diagnosed 3 years ago. It’s primarily in my left forearm and hand. The reason I returned the Starkeys is that I noticed a phasing change in tones generated by my Kitchen oven timer and coffee pot signal. instead of a steady tone, they ‘warbled’. I then noticed the same effect in the high strings of my acoustic, and thin line acoustic electric guitar when unplugged. Not something I can tolerate or ever acclimatize to. My question is has anyone out there ever experienced this?
