I'm probably going to need new soon so I'm thinking about brand. Currently I've had two different hearing aids both of which were from Phonak.
And as it turns out that here in this city I only recently moved to - my choices are limited to two audiology firms. One sells most top rated Hearing Aids and the only other audiology group that limits itself to Starkey brand. And I had a bad experience with Associated Audiology that is the only game in town other than Starkey. It was Associated Audiology that I purchased my Phonak aids (Audio Lumity 90s) from. And that didn't go well, because the next day after I got the Lumity 90s - Associated sent notice to me that they decided they "couldn't work with me" and DEMANDED IMMEDIATE RETURN of my just purchased HAs. When I asked why they said they didn't like my ATTITUDE about wanting remote adjustments on the Lumitys. They had the capability for remote adjustments but took issue with my request for remote adjustments. They didn't care about the inconvenience to me drive of an hour round trip or the time spent, distance, travel expense and my car being not altogether reliable.
I did return them but only after I got valuable assistance from the top executive of a state program "Advocacy for the Deaf and Hearing Impaired" who agreed with me it sounded at the very least like poor customer service. But he also discovered the audiologist assigned to me was not yet a LICENSED audiologist and so he was shocked that the entire firm voted unanimously to stand in solidarity with the not yet licensed young woman .So much for AA alleged commitment to their clients.
The Advocacy for Deaf and Hearing Impaired is a great organization.
Anyway after my experience with Associated Audiologists) the only game in town is Starkey and so I want to learn as much as I can about what to expect from Starkey. It would make it a lot easier to get adjustments without having to travel further afield.
