Styletto IX has low volume on phone calls

I’m one week in on my trial with Styletto IXs. My audiologist is giving me 30 days to try out different hearing aids. The Stylettos seem a good fit, but my dislikes are I have to have my phone in my hand because they dont have a microphone when using my S22. Also, the audio is very low while on the phone. So low, I end up turning on my speaker phone so i can hear the caller. Is there something I’m missing? Do Stylettos work differently with iPhones? Also, i cannot answer or hangup with the hearing aids. The audiologist also carries Oticom aids. I’m thinking Oticoms might be better. I am open to hearing other opinions…

It’s possible to have hands-free when using , but your hearing devices need to have latest firmware and your phone has to support it. As far as I remember it is possible reprogram the tap functionality for hanging up.
It is also possible to extend the volume by increasing the amount of volume steps in the fitting software.

If you want hands free with an old Android phone like the S22, then you need to go with a Phonak brand of hearing aid. Costco is selling a version of the Phonak brand hearing aid which should allow hands free calling at some of their stores.

We know that newer Samsung or Google Pixel phones do hands free calling with hearing aids that have that capability.

However, your S22 should use which will allow you to hear your calls through your hearing aids when connected through Bluetooth, but you will need your phone to answer your calls and to speak in to the phone’s microphone.
