The Pain of the TV Converter

I turn the TV Converter 2 off when not in use by holding the power button. I use the TOSLINK digital feed as input to a separate Digital/Analog Converter that I bought from Amazon, which then gives me a separate remote with volume control and a mute between the digital feed and the Phonak TV converter. I find the audio quality better this way too.

It’s not happening to my hearing aid batteries draining so quickly when l watch TV with the TV Connector. I set the TV digital audio to fixed only not variable audio output.
