I’m glad to report the Signia app for Android connects to my hearing aids via Bluetooth allowing me to change the directionality and set different levels for right and left. It also gives me an option to turn on Speech Boost
The Truhearing app the audiologist installed for me doesn’t connect to Bluetooth, communicating with non-audible tones.
The Signia app is much the better app to control these hearing aids.
It’s not giving me an option to stream an audio feed to the hearing aids. I don’t know if the Premium level would give me streaming. Anyway I’m able to use my phone in speaker mode so streaming isn’t necessary.
For listening to TV at night I don’t need hearing aids and usually take them off and simply turn up the volume on my speakers.
Listening to the classical music station it definitely sounds better with my hearing aids.

My Android is version 10 which apparently knows nothing about streaming to hearing devices.
It’s only this weekend I installed the Signia app and checked that I have the latest firmware which is a huge improvement over the Truhearing app installed by the audiologist a month ago.
If anyone could make any suggestions it’d be greatly appreciated.

Yes as stated a few times you have the rebranded Signia models.
It’s not giving me an option to stream an audio feed to the hearing aids.
Yeah so this is controlled by your phone, or other Bluetooth, go to Bluetooth settings/devices and make sure it’s connected for calls and media. You say you have Android 10, older version, what phone is it.

@tenkan, it’s an Oukitel WP7 ruggedized smartphone running Android 10 built 2020
OUKITEL_WP7_EEA_10.0_V15_20201119
There’s nothing in this machine’s Android 10 for streaming an audio feed to any kind of device by Bluetooth or any other means. Nothing there in Settings / Accessibility to connect to Hearing Devices or any other audio devices.

Take the compatibility list with a pinch of salt, get a later version of Android and your good to go, I’ve never heard of that phone you have, Sammy/pixel are fine, I have an old Android ph running 12,no problems, cheers

I bought the Oukitel WP7 because it’s ruggedized and has a good camera.
Samsung has apparently great implementation of hearing aid streaming and integration for a long time across their entire line.
The ruggedized Samsung smartphones are the XCover models. Before buying a particular phone I’ll try to find it on the Signia list of compatible phones:
Device compatibility | Signia8
Overview lists for compatibility of Signia hearing aids and Signia app with Mfi (Apple) and ASHA (Android) Standards.
There are no Samsung XCover phones on that list of Androids compatible with Signia hearing aids.
But Google tells me they are compatible, specifically the Samsung Galaxy Xcover Pro.
Overview
New samsung feature for hearing aids with LE audio, specially …
**Yes, Samsung Galaxy Xcover models are hearing-aid compatible, with the Xcover Pro having an M3/T3 HAC rating and newer models supporting Bluetooth and ASHA (Audio Streaming for Hearing Aids). To connect hearing aids, go to Settings > Accessibility > Hearing enhancements > Hearing aid support and either pair via Bluetooth or optimize for M-mode hearing aids.

Yes that was my point earlier, to take the compatibility list with a pinch of salt, they can’t list every single smartphone available, im running an old Sammy note 10 with Android 12.
