I have just recently moved to using which has fixed issues hearing in the car, that Vac+ was not able to resolve. I am happy to stick with NAL-NL2 for general everyday program as it’s better than Vac+.
However, I have found that the Music program using NAL-NL2 sounds terrible.
Someone suggested (and Chatgpt confirmed) that DSL5 Adult is highly recommended for the Music program has it does not compress sound much and is very open and dynamic. So, I am keen to try DSL5 for music because NAL-NL2 just sounds awful. Or I could go back to Vac+ for Music?
I think I do need a slight boost in the low frequencies as I have noticed that vowels are not as rounded as they were on Vac+. I will go for for this because I think I am underfit slightly.
That may (or may not) fix my feelings of dissatisfaction with NAL-NL2 using the TV Streamer (as I am definitely not hearing vowels fullness anymore). But I also find NAL-NL2 a bit flat for movies. It just doesn’t feel dynamic anymore.
What do you guys use as sound profile for TV Streamer watching movies? I am keen to hear what you think would be best for me to try.
