Widex Moment sRIC bluetooth streaming stability with iPhone 12 Pro in front pocket?

I’m finding that media streaming from my iPhone 12 Pro (iOS 16.4.1) in my front pocket to my Widex Moment 440 sRIC has an unacceptable incidence of dropouts (it’s constantly stuttering on the left or the right while moving), to the point that I don’t bother streaming while I’m walking. I have a Widex Sound Assist, but I’d rather just use my AirPod Pro 2 earphones than hang the SA from my neck while I’m out and about.

Question: Has anyone been able to compare streaming stability with and the iPhone 14 vs. iPhone 12? Would the iPhone 14/14 Pro improve on this?

A relative has the Moment 440 mRICS and uses iPhone 13 Pro. They said either ear can get stuttering depending on which trouser pocket the phone is in, but it works okay when in his backpack which is interesting.

I had this with the iPhone 13 and over rode it by using the COM-DEX. It may be worth trying the phone in various positions around you or in a bag, to see if you can find a position that works well for you. I now have 440 Moment customs & with the COM-DEX get zero interference. It also keeps streaming from varying locations around the house even when I don’t keep the phone with me.

Bluetooth doesn’t really travel through your body well. Think of it like a light bulb. If your body shhades the signal you get drops. It bounces pretty well, but outside there is often nothing to bounce off. Your signal often gets lost. A shirt pocket may be better than trouser pockets. (Back pack sounds like the top of the back pack.) Hope this helps understand.

I have Widex Moment 330s and have the same problem as the OP when I try to stream to my and my iPhone SE (2020) is in my shirt top pocket.
So looks like this is a routime limitation with the Widex Moments.

Yes, I agree that the human body is the primary interfering factor, and can tell with the iPhone in practice by observing the difference from having it in my pocket vs. dangling it in front of my pocket; there’s even a slight difference if the screen is oriented towards my leg vs. away from my leg while it’s in my pocket. The stuttering appears to occur as my pocket-side leg swings back while walking.

Yes, a shirt pocket location will help with reception, but the iPhone 12 Pro is quite heavy and again tilts the convenience/comfort factor towards the APP2 alternative. Plus, most of my shirts worn while out walking the dog aren’t so equipped.

So back to the original question: Is the iPhone 14 or 14 Pro any better with respect to streaming reception than the iPhone 12 Pro?
