Yes, the new upgrade of MyPhonak iPhone app worked great until this morning when my Phonak hearing aids will not connect to my iPhone (OS18.5). Has anyone else found this true? Is there a solution? I have tried all suggested remedies from delegating and opening a new app to turning my hearing aids and iPhone off and then turning them on. Nothing!

The app is better but my Phonak hearing aids will only connect to one device any longer. I had used it with my iPad at the same time.

When I searched on the internet Phonak site for myPHonak the emphasis was that professionals could use the APP for remote setup.
I’ve never had that done. I’ve never had a hearing instrument specialist suggest they could do it.
It would require wifi.

Yes. My audiologist actually did a remote setup for me on my hearing aids. I had left his office after some adjustments and when I got home, I realized something was messed up. He called towards the end of the day and did the fix remotely. Funny thing was that I was driving somewhere when he called me and I had to pull into a grocery store parking lot so that he could make the change.

Yes, after meeting the -based targets at the first physical appointments, you receive a good starting point. Then, you test it and get used to it. After some time, small adjustments can be made through remote setup.

My dispensing audi was well known at Phonak. They knew him by first name! I’ve never had a remote setup. He always did . But I never could hear with his setup…
When I had my molded inserts with Power Receivers installed on my Paradise P90R, my hearing instrument specialist had Canadian ReSound Sales Manager there . I was surprised; he knows that I have about a year and a half before I qualify for new hearing aids.
He sells lots of ReSound, and he used to be Canadian General Manager for Starkey. I don’t know either brand. I’ve had 3 pair of Phonaks from Workman’s Compensation.

I arranged a remote appointment with my audiologist but he was unable to connect to my aids. He thinks this may be because I have been programming the aids in Target and they are now locked to my computer.

You need the latest settings on your audiologist computer for the remote adjustments to work. They can’t mix match.
I tried to make some adjustments to my step mums hearing aids and Target wouldn’t allow me to load them on to her Aids via remote adjustments. I had to do the adjustments while’s connected to her Aids.

I had a remote session about 3 years ago to add a tinnitus masking program (calm plus pink noise) and it went pretty well. Somewhat disconcerting that my only audio connection to the call was via the hearing aids and they get reset in the process. So there was hand motioning to signal along the way. Saved a couple hours in the car, though! Pretty quick and efficient!

Yes, for activating features like yours or the possibility to mute mics by long pressing the lower button, which is great. In my post, I meant precise amplification adjustments during first appointments, with , etc.
There is also possibility to check AudiogramDirect during remote connection too.

Yes, I like it and use it had same problem. My HAP has put it on tap control and also a manual programme, both of these options keeps it on without it changing to another programme as it not controlled by automatic selection.

When myPhonak resorts to autosense it drops back to the HAP settings. His volume is two notches too low. The only way I know is that I can’t hear. Once I recognize that I check the volume.
Or I check myPhonak on my phone. That’s an ordeal.

Cleveland, OHWhen I had my Phonak the only way I could figure out that the app had been updated was that the would no longer work with the app. I am considering going back to Phonak because I really dislike my current set up. Has the notification of updates for the Phonak app changed or was my problem just a outlier?

Best help I’ve had was provided by the owner of this site
He provided a Phonak program that enhanced hearing if the person I needed to hear was wearing a surgical mask. It enhanced mid and high frequencies. And increased volume
I provided it to my dispensing Audi who enhanced all my programs on my hearing aids
