Jabra Enhance Pro 20 Versus Enhance Pro 30

Hi, I’m trying help my sister. She has a Samsung Fold 3. When she bought her Jabra 20s her Fold worked with the phone. Then a month or so ago (not sure when) they introduced the Jabra 30s. Her app on the phone no longer works and she gets a message the the phone is jail broke. Speaking to phone carrier they tried to no avail and finally said it’s the app or hearing aids. She has confirmed w/ Jabra folks snd they said her phone is no longer compatible. (I find it strange that 1 updated version of hearing aids ceases to make the earlier hearing aid non compatible). These are resound Nexia hearing aids rebranded by Costco. Costco won’t help in any way - says it’s the phone. Will the Jabra 20s work with Resound Nexia app, if she downloads to her phone? She cannot update her phone & too late to return Jabra 20s. Any ideas! Thank you your time.

My Jabra 20s are paired to my Android Tablet using the Resound Smart 3D app.

My Jabra 30s are paired to my S25 phone.

Note I had to turn off the Bluetooth on my phone while pairing the 20s to the tablet. My first attempt to pair the tablet failed. The app was seeing both sets of HAs, even with the 30s in the charger, until I disabled Bluetooth on the phone.

I did this yesterday, btw and used my backup Jabra 20s most of the day while the 30s stayed in the charger.

Now - Can you pair both sets of HSs in the same phone using two different apps? No.

Is the Jabra 20 a Resound Vivia 8? Would the Jabra 20 be able to connect with the Resound app?

No it’s a Nexia, and yes as the Jabra are just rebranded ReSound models they use both the App and software.

I fail to se what a new HA release has to do with this, the Viva has been out a little while now anyways, but ok so for the App to just stop working she must of updated it? so just download an older version APK and try that,so uninstall the App, some people have “auto update” set in the play store without knowing it.

Hearing aids should still work even if there is no phone app. If all else fails and a new GS 24, or better, or a suitable tablet is not practical- just use the buttons on the hearings aids. The rocker buttons should allow program changes, TV streaming ( with a streaming device) and volume adjustments.

But not phone conversations streaming directly to the HAs, unfortunately.

Possibly her Costco fitter can review the Jabra 20 rocker button functions with you.

The Jabra Enhanced Pro 20 and 30 don’t have a rocker switch but a push button that can be programmed for various functions. I use an iPhone and Apple has been working with the hearing aid manufacturers for the past decade or more. Even my iPhone 13 still allows me to make changes in my Jabra Enhanced Pro 30s with or without the Jabra app.

Where does the mold have a more powerful receiver? up?
