Do Jabra closed domes have vents to prevent occlusion?

New Jabra Enhance Pro 30 user here.
I was sent home with open domes but want to try asap to see if I can increase bass response and naturalness.
The pics of their closed domes on their web site look like they have at least 2 holes (vents) but a web search says that they don’t have vents.
I guess the real question is: How much of an occlusion effect can I expect when switching to these domes?
Or… Are there any semi-closed domes available that work with Jabra Enhance ?
Any info appreciated.

Vented molds are available at Costco.

As for domes, you can always modify them. Some folks take a scissors and cut the sides of the dome.

If your local Costco is close by, then stop in an have them give you a pair of for you to try out. That will at least answer your occlusion question since occlusion seems to be a worry.

If the closed domes pass your occlusion test, then you can make an appointment to have your hearing aid adjusted for a closed dome.

It looks like they have very small vents. Knowing how they’ll act in your ears with regards to occlusion is trial and error however because the fit can vary from tight seal to plenty of gaps.

But are you saying that the Costco ARE vented?
I know they have open domes and I know they have closed domes.
I’m asking about the design of their closed domes.

are vented, they use the same as ReSound no doubt.

From what I’ve seen so far, from all manufacturers are vented. Which makes the term very misleading.

Only power domes are not vented.

If a manufacturer also has vented domes, then those might have two vents, whereas the closed dome has only one. This is true for Signia/Rexton, for example.

While you are at Costco, you ask them for a pair of tulip domes too to try out.

I have always thought the double sealed domes were power domes. They are the closest thing to custom earmolds. The tulip domes are right there too but usually have small vents. Your ear canal plays a big part on how these type domes actually work. Everyone is different.

If you are changing domes (acoustics) the aid programming can be messed up for your particular hearing loss. The fitter sets programming for those particular domes. Changing them randomly can throw things off. For some it’s not much but others it can be a lot.

Tuning hearing aids is a balancing act. Gains and acoustics are very important.
