iPhone versus Galaxy S25?

iPhone doesn’t support . I will soon be updating my aids from Oticon More 1 to probably the Oticon Intent. Is it worthwhile to move to the S25 and the benefits of Auracast or just stay with the iPhone using streaming device?

What kind of issues (if any) are you having with the iPhone with streaming. If none of minimal, I’d stick with iPhone until there’s clearly a feature you really want in a new phone. Benefit of and is likely to come with other (nonphone) devices including public venues.

I have the Oticon INTENT aids and the Samsung S23 phone and I love le audio but to my knowledge the INTENT doesn’t support the yet. I do have full hands free. My advice for what it is worth is if your iPhone is working good and correctly keep it. I am thinking seriously of going back to IOS for my next phone and tablet. My reasoning is that the Samsung watches are not in anyway supported.

Do you mean there’s no Oticon Companion app for Wear OS? It does seem like there is a for the Apple Watch2.

I check every so often, and there’s still no Oticon Companion app for Wear OS devices (Pixel, Samsung, and others). I reached out to Oticon years ago and offered to write one for them. As expected, they ignored me.

The companion app on my phone is great but there is no way to control my aids from a android wear watch.

Also the Oticon Intent are only ready.

A device marked as “Auracast-enabled” can immediately stream audio via Auracast. “Auracast-ready” means it has the hardware, but needs a software update to activate the feature.

So when will this happen for Intent aids? Maybe at the same time as iPhone upgrades to Auracast/LEAudio
