Thank you, @cvkemp!! The interesting thing is when I take my phone into the next room with me, there are zero disconnects.

@code
With my Infinio Non-Sphere I90s, I get constant drops of the signal when I get up from my desk and go down the hall from my room into the kitchen (we’re talking less than 10 ft here). It happens about 3-4 times per day.
These drops happen when my right aid is on the side opposite my left as I am coming back to my room.
I also get random disconnect beeps when I go upstairs. But everything always comes back, but back in normal non-bluetooth mode.
IIRC, you also have on the second ear, which could interfere with the reception of the Bluetooth signal, claiming some of the resources accessible to the antenna.
Another argument for trying Infinio Sphere.

I’m new to this forum but have had the Infinio spheres for about a year and since they were first introduced. In terms of the Bluetooth connection this was reliable right up until Phonak offered a major firmware update that improved battery life considerably, among other enhancements. Unfortunately I have experienced the same Bluetooth issues as others in this forum ever since this upgrade. It manifests itself frequently when I’m using the TV connect over Bluetooth. The right hand just drops out!! I shall follow this thread to see if a solution is found. I feel that the Firmware update may have something to do with this.

After every firmware update or even after update of myPhonak app, you should reset your Bluetooth settings in :
If someone has a problemem with Bluetooth, he/she should try to complete reset, which means deinstallation of myPhonak, turning off Bluetooth, reset the hearing aid, turning off and rebooting the smartphone and then installing the myPhonak again and Bluetooth reconnection.

I performed the reset as described. Sadly the right still disconnects from Bluetooth for some unknown reason when I’m using the TV Connect V2. Should I do anything with the TV Connect v2?

TV Connector doesn’t use Bluetooth, it uses proprietary Air stream.
IIRC, you can’t use TV Connector and Bluetooth e.g. from phone simultaneously.

I had an issue where only my right Sphere hearing aid would pair to the Phonak app. After hours of troubleshooting, I had to do a factory reset on my iPhone and reinstall all my apps. That fixed it.

I reset the TV Connector but still had the Right drop the signal. I then discovered that mt TV’s Bluetooth had been paired with the HA’s. This was a long time ago and before the update it didn’t seem to interfere with the HA’s working on the TV Connector but since the update this has been a problem. I’ve now unpaired the HA’s from the TV’s bluetooth and so far it seems to be good.
The Infinio Sphere HAs have been a game changer for me. They really seem to work well.
Thanks for all your suggestions.

I have had endless problems with Bluetooth connections or rather the lack of them. I work for a distance university which uses the Adobe Connect platform for online tutorials. Just last week I must have spent nearly 5 hours with IT engineers who did manage to fix this by updating Bluetooth and do various things with the audio set up. However, once again the connection was lost and I can’t face another session with IT to try and fix it. So I think I will be going back to headphones which I tried out last night and which seemed to be OK and as they aren’t connected to Bluetooth hopefully should be more reliable. Thank goodness for captions.

Perhaps you have another unnecessary Bluetooth connections. I learnt from @JordanK that making as few connections as possible is the key for Bluetooth stability.
I turn off Bluetooth in my laptop when I want no issues with the phone.

Some computers do not have very stable internal Bluetooth. Have you tried a quality USB Bluetooth dongle? If you specify your aids, operating system, and use case (such as need Teams support) others may have specific suggestions for dongles.

Do you have tap control enabled?
With the new firmware the only recurring problem I sometimes have is if I pause by double tapping my it does not stream anymore until I unpause it by double tapping again. Umpausing from my ipad or iphone does not work. Not sure if that problem may also arise when muting during an online call.

Hi PeterOo, Thank you for your suggestion re: tap control. I don’t have tap control enabled and could raise this with my audiologist. However, I am a lecturer with a distant learning university and will get back to IT there to see if they can have another look at this. Having said this, I am tempted to go back to using my headphones and seeing how they work - they are not Bluetooth - and theoretically I shouldn’t have the problem of the audio drop. Thank you again for your suggestions.

Hi user490, Thank you for your suggestion about the USB Bluetooth and will raise this with IT. Bluetooth doesn’t seem to be very stable on the university’s computer, so thank goodness the captions/chat box are there.

So far so good for me with the sphere ultras on the latest firmware, bluetooth is working perfectly, the best connection is to the PC for both work and entertainment, the thing I really like on the PC link is that if a mute the sound on the pc, the changes to Automatic, when i unmute streaming begins again automatically.
The HA’s are connecting to the PC automatically as per a typical headset, I just wish it worked in a similar way on the tv so i could hear my other half when she talks, as I find the streaming sound quality far better than listening via tv speaker to HA.
Link to my Iphone 12 is perfect, the range is also much better than my wireless headset, helps me find the phone sometimes as when i get in range i get the reconnect tone.

This is a good point. Too sensitive tap control may lead to unwanted stop of streaming. Sensitivity is adjustable in myPhonak app.
The metal case of the PC can suppress the Bluetooth signal. Similarly, too close to the wall of the PC.
