My hearing aids (Phonak Audeo Infinio Sphere 90) frequently disconnect from each other when I turn them off & on (by their buttons). When this happens, the right aid’s buttons only control the right aid, and the left buttons only control the left aid, instead of all buttons controlling both aids together. It’s like they no longer recognize that they are a pair.
I have searched & searched online for any mention of this disconnection problem, but the search results are always about Bluetooth pairing and this isn’t a Bluetooth problem – it’s a disconnection between the right & left aids.
Does this problem happen to others? It happens to me almost every time I try to pair the Phonaks with Bluetooth on my iPad. The Bluetooth pairing frequently fails, so I press & hold the back right button to turn off both aids, then I hold the same button to turn them back on. The right aid boots up, and the left aid doesn’t. So I press a button on the left aid and it turns on, but it’s no longer paired with the right aid.
When this happens, the only solution I’ve found is to place both aids into their charger and wait a few minutes. They reconnect to each other.
Thanks for any insights!
