Hi all, another, probably silly question, but my audiologist was a bit unhelpful.
Can you “wear out” your hearing aids by streaming too much?
I know it munches the battery power, but it shouldn’t cause undue stress on the aid unless it’s not working properly, right? I stream a LOT throughout the day to mask tinnitus and to make calls at work etc. My Bluetooth dominant aid (right) often goes through periods where it sounds duller than the left and audiologist says nothing is wrong with it but maybe I’m “streaming too much.” He suggested we could switch the dominant aid to “give the right one a rest” and honestly that just seems weird to me. Is he right? Should I be alternating the dominant Bluetooth aid so I don’t overwork it?
