I’ve been following a lot of your posts– because like you I am interested in type hearing aids for several reasons—one being fitness activities and two— there are times I want to sleep with at least one hearing aid in my ear.
( I had Bad experience with home alarm system going off in the middle of the night which between sleep and not hearing—- the cops came out. I did not hear them either. So it was kind of a messy situation). ![]()
Sleeping with one Oticon Real is not good– not comfortable and I ruined the speaker wire doing that. Replacement for speaker wire is $100 at my audiologist office. I am not well versed in replacing the wire on my own.
My Reals have 100 db speaker-I believe. The audiologist put me in 105db speakers when I trialed the Intents— which turned out to both have issues and defective. So Intents are a “no go” for me.
So my question to you is about venting— I am not well versed in venting vs. non venting. My current skeleton molds are vented.
My audiologist has said that vented receivers would not be an option for me.
Since I am interested in the Phonak Virto R—- are these vented or non-vented? Is venting something I need to be concerned with if I try out the newest Phonak Virto R?
