How do you force the switch in “master” connection?
It can be done through target software, you’ll need the Noahlink wireless if you haven’t already got it.

Not yet… But y’all are making it more and more likely that I’ll take the plunge!
You’d think that maybe they could design these things so that they switched “master” automatically if the drain got too uneven, or possibly even on alternate days…

So far, I haven’t been able to find out much else about them - the available info is pretty sparse. In any case, they don’t look very useful to an open-dome user like me.
Somoething is in Evidence Library | Phonak11.

available through the App
It used to be in the app.
It’s always been in the software but there was a time when it was in the app.
I have lost touch with so much of this stuff since getting implants.

Hello, is Target 11.1 available now in Canada for audiologists? I upgraded the firmware myself and went to my audiologist here in Oakville to do on my that I programed myself. She claimed that she cannot update her Target to 11.1 until Phonak starts selling Ultras in Canada and that she cannot help me. (Monday Oct. 27)

Wow. Maybe email her some links from this forum before your next visit. If that doesn’t do it then time to post her name so others can avoid her.

I’m in a very noisy sushi restaurant with my upgraded Sphere Ultra’s in mode. The noise is totally gone. Crazy improvement over the original Sphere’s. Much more natural sounding. I can’t believe the new AI model could make such a difference. Anyone else notice this difference. I’m thrilled!

If you set the country to Canada when installing Target, then then you won’t be getting the upgrade until Nov 4.
But it’s possible to install another instance of Target where you set the country to US. Then get the Target upgrade followed by the Ultra upgrade.
Maybe that’s what @JordanK’s audiologist did.

I just updated from 10.0 to 11.1. Set the country to Canada. No issues.
Guessing it was the same for Jordan’s audi.

Just got ultra upgrade back from Injoy Hearing which went very smoothly. I am loving improved . Be sure your audiologist runs feedback program. Cleared up several issues at once for me.

Great to hear your improvement — I noticed the same thing.
When you say “feedback program,” do you mean the feedback calibration in Target / at the fitting screen?
Just want to make sure I tell my audiologist the right thing.
Thanks!

Yes. In my case, I was not present during update to Ultra. Injoy Hearing is web based, no local offices. So when I got them back and in my ear canals, we setup a tele-medical session to finish the upgrade. It made a difference.

Part of the bluetooth update was to add in switching of the master aid depending on which one was getting the better signal.

She properly set her region to Canada when installing the software. Those of us who were lazy and didn’t switch away from America when installing got the update earlier with the American release. Canadian release was November 4th I think.

I purposely set mine to Canada before installing on Nov 1 and it worked perfectly. Must be something else going on for those who had trouble. Or maybe I have some sort of superpower not possessed by mortal audis.
Reminds me of building a house 40 years ago in a small town where I only had one choice for industrial supplies, and everything took “4 to 8 weeks” to bring in. They’d gotten used to not needing to try very hard.

That’s weird. Half of our computers switched early and half switched late–not for lack of trying to update, it just wasn’t there and we were told to wait. I have no idea then. Be we definitely didn’t start seriously updating until all of our computers were updated to avoid a patient ending up in a room with an incompatible version of target.

May I ask what your source is for that information?
In Target I still can select the master Bluetooth device and the name of the connection is what I select in Target.
