Oticon said at the Zeal launch that it was going to be a phased roll out over several markets. Our machines updated themselves automatically.
You can’t force the update with the system tray updater : it launches after you run Genie the first time that day.

I wonder if something happened because it used to tell me an update to the firmware was ready to be installed, from 1.2.1 to 1.3.0, but not anymore

So it just checks that one time on start up? or does it keep checking throughout the day.

The updater sits in the background in the system tray. If you click on it, it will check for updates.
The update last Monday/Tuesday fired when I opened Genie. So, it was either triggered by my use of Genie, scheduled by the updater or (possibly more likely) a push update from the manufacturer who is selecting the regions it’s launching the Zeal to, by strategy.

The new 1.3.0 firmware update for the INTENT hearing aids comes with new version of Genie 2 .
you need to update Genie 2 to version 2025.2 to get the new firmware for the Oticon INTENT hearing aids.

I know, what I’m saying is that at some point it was telling me there was an update to the firmware (last Tuesday for example), but it doesn’t show any update anymore.

I have never seen that message and my aids are 1.1.1 and yes the are INTENT aids, but I must say my aids are from the .

For the . If they have the new firmware update they’ll do it. They usually don’t contact you about it. They just wait for you to make an appointment for any random thing adjustment, repair, or hearing test. As far as the contact renewal in November and May. That’s just for the aids they can issue.

Not always it also a lines with firmware updates that actually adds features to the aids. And the software that is used in the clinics ho through and extensive security check. I know because I have done volunteer work at the clinic in its earliest days that I actually did those checks. I am a retired IT professional and I was the 2 patient of the clinic I go to. I retired from Dell Computers and before that I contracted at Microsoft. I retired as a Microsoft Certified System Engineer Master level. Accept for helping others, when I retired I walked away from all things Microsoft for my personal computing needs. Actually I was totally burnt out.

Thanks @firenzel , but I wasn’t “exactly” asking how to do it
. I know how to, a week ago it said there was an update from 1.2.1 to 1.3.0, it stayed available for 2/3 days, now it says there is no update to do and my is still on 1.2.1. I wonder if there was a technical issue or if they decided to not release it for now in Portugal.

Has anyone tried Auracast on their Intent HA’s yet?
Yes, I’m using the Avantalk C82 Aura. It works well overall, but the only annoying part is having to enter the password every time I connect.
Pros:
Good sound quality.
When I receive a call on my phone, the stops automatically, allowing me to answer the call, something that’s not possible with the Oticon dongle.
Cons:
You have to enter the password every time you connect, there’s no option to save it.
It’s only for listening, you can’t make calls via Auracast.
I start using the Oticon dongle for my company laptop and the Avantalk for my private one.

I updated Genie 2025.2 but there is no update 1.3 for Intent 1 (It has 1.2.1 firmware). What should I do for solve this?

With regards to having to enter the password - there is an option to remove the password entirely.
This can be done via the Avantree Firmware Updater make sure you are update to the latest firmware. This then gives a settings options which enables various setting to be changed to suit your requirements.

there is a avantree c82 LEA, it uses LE audio and not , it might be more straightforward as a single user.

Maybe yes, but I bought this dongle when it was announced as a 2or3in1 dongle with LEA, but it was only the version, they then sent me the Aura for free.
Atm I don’t see the point to buy another one.
@MarkS
Thanks I will check this evening. No PW wouldn’t be good, but an easier one.

Can’t figure out how to update my Genie 2 to the 2025.2 version. I have 2025.1 The Updater seems to do nothing when I click on it and Genie 2 itself says the 1.2 version of the firmware is current. Any ideas?

It’s common issues, it can take a few days sometimes to get the notification, do this.
Shut down your PC, not a reboot but a complete shut down, then restart and open Genie, you can also get genie to check using the Genie updater from your system tray.

It shouldn’t be too difficult to find it using your preferred search engine ;). Just prompt the right words.
