Oticon Intent - Firmware 1.3.0

I tried this, Windows 11 Thinkpad. Shut Down. Then restarted. The Genie Updater still will not open (Task Manager never even shows it attempted to open.) And Genie 2 does nothing at all when I click on check for updates. With hearing aids connected, it claims they are the latest version.

I think there has been a Windows 11 update since I last undated Genie 2. But program seems to run okay.

Somewhere it claimed that Genie 2 was a 32 bit program. It still seems to work fine.

No it’s not Genie issue, but I don’t understand when you say “The Genie Updater still will not open (Task Manager never even shows it attempted to open.) “ this is strange, Win11 issue, I couldn’t do mine for awhile, after a few days Genie updater showed the update.

Folks, I won’t be posting links here, but as I mentioned, the update tool for Genie 2 2025.2 is available on Oticon’s website…

I can search on "update Genie 2 to the 2025.2 version an it sends me to the usual Oticon website. Under Profession there is a “Download Center” but there is no software to be found. Can you provide further information?

I’ve been on firmware 1.3.0 and Companion 1.6.1 for a few days now with no issues. I also tried Auracast with a few Galaxy devices broadcasting to my iPhone via Companion, and everything worked smoothly with the Intents.

Thanks for the confirmation @e1405 and @gerhard_R . I guess just have to be more patient here where I am in the US.

The option to do the fimware update is now back once again for me (I won’t do it though, I’ll ask my HCP to do it)

The magic word in the USA is VPN! That’ll get you right to Oticon Global where you can dl genie 2, and look at all those cool press releases.

Indeed! I was able to upgrade to 2025.2 on Tuesday but still didn’t see 1.3.0. Maybe I’ll try Germany.

Hsa anyone in the US been able to update Genie2. I have 2025.1 and have done the usual: Powered down computer at least 15 times and manually started the updater. Updater says no update available. Anyone else with this issue and suggestions ? Thanks

I’m in the same situation as you @Diver50, but I’ve only checked about once a week, so maybe twice now. I’m not using a VPN. It makes me wonder if my audiologist will be able to update at my appointment on Wednesday.
