Seems the Costco/Phonak app Easy Line might be different. I can use it offline. All it needs is bluetooth to the aids.

Yes, that will work if your app is already setup/confiured. But if you delete the app and try to run setup again, it will fail trying to get to the internet.

Thank you. I don’t recall initial setup. It’s been a while.
@OcramSagev : Is this your case? Or has it been running fine and now not?

It is not an initial setup in my case. I can’t change programs, adjust the volume, etc.
EDIT: It’s working now (Phonak app). Phonak Target continues to report a connectivity issue,

All of my app is now fully functional. Hopefully yours will be too momentarily as Azure services are restored across all regions.

Phonak Target also reported a connectivity issue, which has now been resolved.
Same here. I’m having a Target issue with Remote Support and Internet connectivity as of 4 pm CDT USA.

I understand the remote support stuff, but I’m wondering what kind of information is being sent back to the “mothership” at the initial setup. Also only updates and to use remote support required to use target right or does the latest version requires internet now?

One reason for Internet connectivity is if you show up at an audi with of questionable provenance, the audi can learn about it (and so can Phonak) through Target. Example: you claim you lost your hearing aids and get a warranty replacement from Phonak. But you actually sell your ”lost” HAs to someone else. They’ll be detected that way.

Phonak Target was fully functional during the downtime , it only gave me a warning . The Phone app was the one that was not functional.
I’m sure the serial number is being sent to Phonak because the software reports the day it was purchased and the warranty time plus it immediately checks the connectivity status for doing a remote session. Who knows what else is being sent

I had the same exact problem. The myPhonak app refused to work yesterday (29/10) at 5.30 pm GMT. The internet was normal.
The hearing aid and Target 11.1 were unaffected (Except that Target could not do remote support). 1 day ago I had updated the firmware to 1.11.1.
I unpaired and re-paired> no effect.
I uninstalled myPhonak and reinstalled> no effect.
I tried to install myPhonak app on my wife’s iPhone > No internet connection.
I figured it would be a phonak server problem. And went to sleep.
Today everything works! Thank you Phonak (and Microsoft Azure) for wasting 2 hrs of my life!

The message was bogus. There was nothing wrong with the Internet connection. The problem was with its own backend server connection.

I tested I90 R’s not Sphere after the Ultra update. Connection issues are real. Spotty. Some time it works, other times not. Toggle bluetooth. Are Sphere users having the same issues, Afterall this is really a flagship Sphere 2.0 release to rebrand the product line with great upgrades for the chip. I ordered Spheres they the release came out. By the time I get them hopefully all will be stable.

This happens but phonak.com2 should have posted a message saying servers down (myPhonak is out) for the duration of the lack of service.
Another comment is my Sphere 90 changes its hearing programs with autosense much more than before the Ultra update.
Is this a good thing? I am not sure…

Yes, I had the no internet message here in France on the app. I reset everything I could think of on the phone and the app and in Target (eg forget pairings). It’s working ok now but the result of all the changes I made is that I can now only pair one aid to the app. Grrr!
