Thanks for the the notification, I got it too. I have an appointment with my audiologist on Nov 12. I’ll ask for a firmware update then. Love the communication on this forum.

I am in the USA. Ir was out a week ago or longer for IOS and it had issues. I was surprised to see it so quick for Android. But I have to say so far it is very stable.

To have your aids work with the firmware must be 1.3.0. The app tells me the same thing because I have 1.2.1. The app isn’t working to correctly tell you the true latest firmware level for the aids.

Exactly, Chuck. I updated Companion and sway no option, but when I updated my Intents, and repaired with Companion, Auracast is present.
Now, I just need a way to use it!!

I believe you need an capable phone like a Pixel 8-10, or Samsung S23-25 for , without a dongle like the FlooGoo 120, or Avantree one.
If you have an android which supports LE, you can get the Oticon Easy LE Adapter for LE Audio streaming, and Hands-free calls, provided there’s no Headphone jack, but no Auracast.
You need android 16, and BT 5.2: here’s a link.8

I’m talking about the oticon app update. I certainly doesn’t require the newest phone and it states android 8+
edit: this is not about streaming from the phone, this is about streaming of another physical transmitter and simply controlling the phone settings and entering the platform password. without connecting the phone to it, just the aids.

Also keep in mind that the app may support a different feature set on different OS versions. If a feature doesn’t exist on the underlying OS, the app won’t be able to support that feature, but the rest of the app could still work.
Edit: it’s also possible the app can “go around” the OS and instruct the hearing aid to so things not supported by the OS.

If that was the case, I would have had the same update number with reduced features. I still have a lower number on android 9.
It doesn’t seem to apply.

I think that you’re saying that you’re running Android 9, but you don’t yet have Oticon Companion app 1.6.1. is that right?
What version do you have? Have you tried checking for updates manually?

so it was now in my weekly updates. I didn’t know I could check google play and my account.
I always did over options in my settings. which is always late I recon.
there’s was no update option when I looked the app up in google play, I guess it only shows mandatory updates.
