Starky Genesis AI 16 cuts out periodically

Hi - I have a pair of Starkey Genesis hearing aids, and since new (about 2 years), they will periodically cut out for about 3 seconds, then come back. No startup chimes, just a complete drop in audio. If I look at my phone app when this happens, the hearing aid momentarily disconnects from my iPhone. This happens without Bluetooth being turned on, so it’s not a phone setting, etc. My provider, and also Starkey, have tried to help, but after many visits and support calls, nothing has been resolved.

Has anyone else encountered this issue?

Simon

I’ve only encountered this issue with my Starkey Genesis 24s because Starkey doesn’t support my iPhone 17 Pro Max yet when streaming audio (either in a phone call or music). Apple’s first update to iOS 26 after the iPhone 17 models came out fixed the streaming issue for music, but the phone call audio is still not fixed and likely won’t be until Starkey supports my model. :frowning: As you can see, this doesn’t happen to me without Bluetooth though, so I’m not sure why it’s occurring with yours.

I wear Edge with a pixel 6a.

I really do not have this problem.

I do have an echo noise after sounds and words. I sent them back. They still have the same problem. Starkey says everything’s fine. I guess Starkey believes in out of sight out of mind.
