Really nice information. Comes with a travel charger which is a nice upgrade from previous Sonite R.

Anybody know if or when these will be available at Costco? I’m guessing priced similarly to other Costco hearing aids (~$1600-$1700)

Looks highly likely that Sennheiser Sonite Rise will be upgradeable to as it supports 5.3, same as Infinio and Infinio Sphere. Found this out on Bluetooth Sig website.

Hmm. Poking further it looks like these might only be available in the UK right now as the only I can access these on Sennheiser’s website is by picking the UK location.

These Sennheiser Sonite Rise aids just might be the ones to replace my wife’s KS9’s. With the KS9’s using disposable batteries they will be a great backup set for any new aids she gets.

Just FYI: I talked to my Costco fitter this morning (3/1). She had heard nothing about the Rise or anything replacing the Sonite R.

The same thing happened with the Sonite R when it was coming out. Apparently Costco does not inform the fitters about upcoming products until they receive the official memo. I guess it’s a way to prevent the fitters from not selling the current models .
The educational videos are already on YouTube , posted by Sennheiser . They posted them 6 days ago and only 162 views. Hey , it shows we like being early adopters

Maybe it’s the same design because Unitron, like Phonak and Sennheiser, is part of the same Sonova group.

Yep all the same, nothing different inside, firmware is for Phonak target, so let’s call them a rebranded Phonak with a Unitron smile ; )

Agree. If there’s a big difference between the two devices at the premium level, neither manufacturer has been able to explain it to me yet.

I have noticed a difference between Phonak and Unitron. Phonak uses Phonak’s proprietary formula and Unitron is limited to NalNl2 and Dslv5. I would say Phonak’s formula is a few shades better, more polished.

On what basis? The formula is basically in the bin once you’ve ’d the system. If there’s better automatics at play due to the functionality from Sphere, then that’s an entirely different proposition than the initial prescription.
