Sony cre-c20 Discontinued, new model?

Yes, that could be correct. Strange that soundly doesn’t have it on their website anymore and it is close to what seems to be a 2 year life cycle for Sony’s HAs. Hoping It goes well with the Sennheiser. I’m not sure if having something in my ears all the time is worth the trade off of occasionally not understanding what people say

I also used to think that Bluetooth wasn’t important, until I bought one. Night & day difference in speech comprehension between bluetooth & holding the phone up to your ear hoping not to get feedback.

That’s good to hear. Which do you use? I really dont want bluetooth on all the time so I wonder how easy it is to turn on the ‘all day clears’ once the phone starts ringing?

I use Signia BCT 7IX with an iPhone & never turn bluetooth off.

We tested the Senn all day clear (same tech). It was just OK. You have to page through the list near the bottom of page 2 to find it.

Thanks for letting me know this. I only see the slim version which is supposedly not as good as the all day clear

It is lumity technology from phonak basically. You can look at the initial results for that product in our database if you want a close proxy.

Maybe I’ll get the Sony cre c20s instead? Seems like it’s higher rated on your website for sound than most all other options…. even better than ones with newer technology and at significantly higher price points.

I am following your posts about the Sony cre-c20, ( and the very similar but larger CRE-E10), I have tried both of them and even though they both have different charging cases, neither of them would make a secure charging contact, no amount of wiggling could solve it. Thankfully I was able to return them within 30 days to Amazon and got a full refund.
On March 6th 2026 I expect to receive from Costco the Rexton Reach rechargable IIC INOX, which I have a feeling are identical to the Signia Silk Charge&Go 7IX.
It looks like HearingTracker’s Karl Strom,editor-in-chief has recently reviewed another style of hearing aid ear buds, ELEHEAR Delight CIC. ( ELEHEAR Delight Debuts at CES 2026: A Small AI-Powered In-Ear OTC Hearing Aid45 ). I would like to try these myself, but I understand you have to pre order them for a possible release Feb 25 2026 at a cost of US $329. I might do that.

I bought the crec20s and haven’t had an issue with the charging case. Definitely have to be placed in there just right though. I guess I’m pleased with the Sony’s but question how much value I get from HAs in general. Just not in an environment that often that really helps me. The elehears seem great but not as invisible as the Sony’s. Was thinking about the zeals but probably not worth it since I don’t think I’ll use HAs that often

Thanks for the reply, How long have you had the crec20’s? Is there per chance a manufacturing date on the Sony box, maybe they improved them since my return last August 2024, it took me 10 days to realize the faulty connection was not my fault.

Concerning the ELEHEAR Delight’s, I went on to Facebook to read the comments about them. Some members we’re having trouble trying to contact them by email or telephone. Also I watched a couple of online reviews for the Delight’s, and they seemed suspiciously vague. So even though the specs look good, and their advertising states “60 Day risk-free Trial and Priority Customer Support”, I think I will wait for positive reviews of the product, or some resolution to the complaints on Facebook before I order them for myself..
