This is a hard no, It doesn’t take a bright mind to see what is next.
They launch their new form factor, the NXT platform- the Zeal is selling well and
and is having a very good response in the market. The new zeal introduces a new
way to manufacture the hearing aids, which allows to make hearing aids incredible small.
It has only launched in Oticon not in the other sister companies, therefore- here is are the next two
posible outcomes. If the Zeal works well and it is sturdy enough, it will be something like the “stiletto”
with some minor improvements for 2027, something completely discrete and more reliable.
The likely scenario is 2027 end or Q1 2028.

They have to announce something for , along with the Zeal. Their new technology if I recall they generally announce before EUHA, Its not coming this year

OP is asking for an Intent replacement, and the Zeal is not an Intent replacement. The Zeal is only for mild to moderate loss.
My comment was purely based on the release timelines from past years. Oticon typically launches new platforms every two years.
What you are saying is that the Intent will be around for two more years..That’s 4 yrs life, Too long considering the position of the Sphere in the market.
I’m not great at guessing, so I’ve looked at the data and, based on history, made an extrapolation. It’s not exact, but at least it has some statistical meaning.

In order to draw conclusions, you need to follow the industry which obviously you don’t.
I will give you an example
Since the Epoq, there has been always a released of A Rite and a instrument, Then the Agil , Alta, and Opn and Opn S all those platforms had.a BTE and BTE PP. It was ling assume when the more was released a PP will come. Not because something did happen in the past it means it will happen in the future, they just released the new PP.
Based on that assumption they need to release a Super power, And an Ultra power rechargable. Also the Opn Play and and the Play px needs to be refreshed.
There Is no secret, they need to be refreshed prior to a top end product. The best you can expect is a “stiletto kind of” instrument with minor improvement on the NXT form factor.
time will tell

Thank you for your reply it makes sense that they need to get the rest of their products onto the latest platform before they introduce a new one.

Zeal is the same Sirius platform as Intent. This is almost “INTENT in case”.

I’m not sure any of this “makes sense.” There has certainly been a trend away from adopting the latest technology and often skipping a generation or two of updates. Ultimately hearing aids companies are going to do what they think will most favorably affect their bottom line. Trying to predict what will happen from past behavior reminds me of the perennial warning about investments: “Past performance does not guarantee future returns"

Exactly, the cost of the platform has to pay for itself. Therefore, before launching the next one they need to refresh all their previous lines, Xceed, Zircon and the play line No new signal processing until end 2027.

“The cost of the platform has to pay for itself” sounds like the sunk cost fallacy. If hearing aid companies waited until every advancement paid for itself they’d likely go bankrupt. Smart companies know they make mistakes and can move on from them. Your predictions may very well be right. I like to guess too, but I have no confidence in my guesses because that’s all they are.

I would give a very specific example, Velox platform. It’s now nearly 10 years- and it runs Jet 1/ Jet 2 (not PX) it still going strong around the world for tenders etc etc. So yes, Because their platform has a very long lifespan they did payfor itself. its not a cell phone, its a hearing aid .

I think there should be a new platform soon if they want to keep up with Phonak and (perhaps) Fortell hearing aids. Of course, I am crystal-balling and may be wrong.

None of this makes much sense to me.
I can get a new hearing aid under my Medicare plus plan this fall (with a fairly large co-pay) to replace my Oticon Real level 2 with with which I am am not terribly happy. I use a custom earpiece and it still doesn’t work that well with any background noise and music sounds tinny to the point I cannot bear it. Unfortunately my hearing loss is also increasing beyond the 70% comprehension loss diagnosed in 2023 but at 82 and not in the best of health I decline offers of an implant.
What will be my probable options in early 2027 with Oticon if the Zeal is only for mild to moderate loss. Will I have to switch to Phonak as that is the other major brand offered through the captive hearing center of my HMO health plan (Yes, it’s Der Kaiser.).

I like the Der Kaiser reference! Achtung!
Despite some of the very self-assured notes above, Oticon’s decision may be largely driven by their loss of market share to Phonac, and looking nervously down the road to Foretell, not to mention other collaborations with others.

Foretell is not going to last 5yrs. If they are lucky they sell all the business to some of the big 6. Zeal has been received well, having tested one I can tell you this new form factors (NXT) is going to generate good sales. We will know soon, as we are approaching the end you year results. I will be very excited to see a Rite instrument using the NXT platform. They might be on to something
